Definition of the problem

While pumping station breakdowns can be as a result of a number of different factors, it can be clearly seen that pump blockage is the number one cause, accounting for by far the highest number of site visits to attend problems.


We should however not overlook the other causes and in particular problems with level control equipment. Many of these problems result from installing sensitive equipment in very aggressive dirty environments and the subsequent cleaning and fine-tuning that is necessary to keep the equipment operational.
